The Day My Knowledge Found a Home
July 11, 2026
I woke up expecting an ordinary Saturday.
Instead, I stayed home because I wasn’t feeling well.
At first, I felt disappointed that I couldn’t go in the ministry. I rested, listened to my body, and spent most of the day moving between Sanctuary Corner and my bed.
Later that afternoon, I sat down intending to plan next week’s LinkedIn posts.
What happened next surprised me.
One idea led to another until I found myself creating a Knowledge Vault with ten separate collections covering my leadership philosophy, governance, stakeholder leadership, operational excellence, AI, change leadership, teaching, and thought leadership.
For the first time, I wasn’t simply collecting experiences.
I was organizing the principles behind them.
It dawned on me that my career isn’t just a series of jobs I’ve held.
It’s a body of knowledge I’ve spent years building.
The Knowledge Vault wasn’t really about documentation.
It was about identity.
I stopped seeing myself as someone with scattered ideas and started seeing myself as someone with a coherent professional philosophy worth preserving and continuing to develop.
The irony isn’t lost on me.
I built one of the most meaningful professional resources of my life on a day when I wasn’t well enough to leave the house.
Sometimes progress doesn’t arrive with momentum.
Sometimes it arrives quietly, while resting in Sanctuary Corner.
